The 4th Angel Program is a cancer patient and caregiver mentoring program that is part of the Scott Hamilton CARES initiative, a nonprofit organization. It is a telephone-based mentoring program which provides free, one-on-one outreach by a specially trained volunteer cancer survivor, who can talk and listen in a supportive setting.

Laurie Mezzalingua, a breast cancer patient for 12 years, established the Saint Agatha Foundation to provide financial assistance to those in Central New York who are battling breast cancer. The Foundation is dedicated to provide support, comfort, and care to breast cancer patients. It can help pay for a variety of costs that patients must bear to assure quality treatment.
